3-vehicle crash leaves 2 with serious injuries in Stafford

When people are driving, it is important that they’re paying attention to what they’re doing. If they are distracted or reckless, they could end up causing a collision.

Take, for example, this case out of Stafford where a three-vehicle crash left two people with serious injuries. The crash completely shut down Route 72 and resulted in the victims being flown to AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center.

The news states that the crash happened on Breakers Drive and Route 72 at approximately 4:30 in the afternoon. At the time, a 67-year-old man was traveling east in a Jeep Cherokee when he decided to make a left-hand turn into a local Circle K. As he made the turn, an oncoming Hyundai Elantra collided with him.

The crash resulted in the Hyundai traveling further into the eastbound lanes and hitting another vehicle, a Mercedes-Benz. The 29-year-old driver of the Elantra and the 63-year-old driver of the Mercedes were injured and taken to the hospital. The other driver did not have any reported injuries.

This crash is still being investigated by police, but it shows a serious problem that happens on the roads every day. Left-hand turns are dangerous, and drivers must look carefully before making a turn. If they turn without enough time to get out of the way of oncoming traffic, other drivers may not have time to stop. A T-bone collision is possible, and multiple vehicles could end up being involved.

If you are impacted in a crash like this one, remember that you can pursue a claim against the driver who made the error.
