Man seriously injured in New Jersey car accident

Authorities say that an 89-year-old man was severely injured in an accident that took place on Feb. 19 around 3:12 p.m. The crash occurred when a BMW driven by an elderly woman crashed into the front of a Wendy’s in Bayonne. After the accident, the man underwent surgery and was placed in the ICU at Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health.

Police say that the woman did not intend to cause the accident and was not charged or issued any summonses. They believe that the woman may have been trying to park her car when the accident occurred. She was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and no injuries to the driver were reported. The scene of the accident had to be closed off until 6:15 p.m. for cleaning and examination.

The accident was still being investigated by police, and the store was structurally sound after the crash. In addition to the injuries suffered by the 89-year-old man, police say that a 12-year-old boy suffered injuries to his leg. The extent of the injuries were unknown, and it was unknown if the boy received treatment.

Those who are injured in a car accident may take legal action against a driver who caused it. An attorney may be able to help an injured victim pursue compensation for the treatment of back, spine or other injuries. It may also be possible to win compensation for any lost wages or lost future earnings related to the accident. On top of that, it may be possible to win punitive damages to account for the driver’s negligence.
